About the Junior Account Manager Role
The Junior Account Manager will work under leadership of the Director of Account Management and act as a conduit between the Job Portraits agency and various clients. The Junior Account Manager will learn about how Job Portraits engages with valued clients, will carry out the essential function of creating alignment between client needs within the context of a scope of work and out internal resources, and will assist in providing the greater team insights into client needs.
A Day In the Life of a Junior Account Manager
A common day for you might include several of the following activities:
- Review your portfolio of clients
- Check Asana for critical tasks and deadlines
- Review and share content with the client on behalf of the Account Manager
- Coordinate with third-party partners
- Work with senior account management to develop further scopes of work
- Attend internal or external status meetings
- Maintain client-facing status documents
- Collaborate with project management on resource needs

Core Tasks and Relationships
- Coordinate client communications
- Schedule client meetings
- Maintain constant awareness of scope of work
- Manage scope creep alongside senior account managers
- Make internal team and client aware of schedule changes
- Participate in business development (as needed)
- Maintain updated status reports
- Attend weekly client status meetings
- Attend weekly internal status meeting with creative team
- Request work (projects / tasks) through Asana
Compensation and Benefits
The Junior Account Manager would begin as a contractor position with the goal of becoming a full-time hire within three months. The salary for a Junior Account Manager will fall between $50k-$60k depending on the level of the candidate’s experience.
Full-time benefits include subsidized health, dental, and vision insurance coverage as well as life insurance and 401k matching. We also encourage employees to take time off; we offer unlimited paid leave, but not as a code for ”you won’t actually get to take any leave.” We trust employees to manage their time, but as an example, most people take 3-4 weeks of vacation throughout the year, and we close for the last 2 weeks of December so no one is working then. It's also common for people to take half or full days off on a regular basis to support their unique working schedules and wellness needs.
